F**K THE BIG C! (He)Art's Healing Power
3 Sistahs Spread Cancer Awareness-Group Show
Gallerist Jennifer Kosharek and Seeking Kali artist Ria Vanden Eynde organized a group show F**K the big C! in September at eve-N-odd with works by cancer survivors Betty Esperanza, Branka Djordjevic and Ria Vanden Eynde who are showing how cancer affects their individual art making practice while doing their small bit for raising cancer awareness. Donations go to local cancer support projects.
Ria Vanden Eynde's pieces are from her blog painting2cancers. Each signed and numbered work is produced in a limited edition of nine with three artist proofs. Numbers will be assigned in the order they are received. All pieces are printed with archival pigment inks on MOAB Entrada Rag 190, 13 by 19 inches (33 by 48.3cm). Each pre-ordered print costs $150 shipping and handling costs included.
Proceeds will be donated to My Hope Chest, a Tampa based NPO helping uninsured breast cancer survivors afford breast reconstruction surgery. Below is the list of prints, the title links to the corresponding blog post on painting2cancers. Big Acknowledgement goes to Seeking Kali collaborator and friend William Evertson for printing, shipping, handling, show logistics and a lot of moral support!
