About her work she says: “My palette is bright and bold creating tension and conflict between image and feeling. They contain portraits dealing with relationships, rebirths and metamorphosis. These narratives are a continuous introspective search full of exciting and revealing insights with elements of my personal heritage reflecting the passion of my soul. In my paintings I attempt to maintain the richness of color, still emitting a strangeness of images. My personal myths evolved from the imagination of my subconscious. My magic symbols of fish are a continuous link in all my works."
Susan's complete information and portfolio can be found at Susan Shulman's website.
Ria Vanden Eynde has co-founded Seeking Kali and worked as a member on the group projects until February 2013 when she left the collective. Ria's portfolio can be viewed at Ria Vanden Eynde's website.

About Seeking Kali
Seeking Kali began as a response to the eternal Facebook "What's on your mind?" query. William typed in the thought, "the manifestations of Kali", Ria Vanden Eynde responded with her thoughts, Susan Shulman joined the thread and they were off. To Where? The artists exchanged comments on goddess iconography, indigenous belief systems, concepts of time, Western perceptions, travels and sources. These conversations took on a practical tone with a collaboration on a print edition of images, interpreting Kali. The creative exchanges were unique and mainly virtual as Evertson worked from the US, Shulman from Canada and Vanden Eynde in Belgium, collaborated via Facebook, Skype and emails. The Seeking Kali Collective has additionally curated internationally exhibited artist calls on the subject of archetypes and myths. Through their collaborations they have created shadow theater, performance art and video. Their focus on the possibilities of virtual artistic exchanges and continuing cross cultural dialogues is the raison d'être that has kept their visions fresh. Through the inspiration of artistic exchange and blending of ideas, they found more than crowd sourced information on Kali per se but the freedom to experiment, to break down art categories and collaborate from virtual studios.
